I was traveling alone, but the guide was very friendly and chatted with me, so I was able to enjoy SUP and snorkeling without feeling lonely at all. I even got to swim alongside the sea turtles I’d always dreamed of seeing, and I spent a truly luxurious day completely immersed in the natural beauty of Miyako Island. The round-trip transportation was also a big help.

I was worried about whether I’d have enough stamina since it had been a while since I’d been in the ocean, but since we started from a calm beach, it was no problem at all, even for beginners. I was absolutely thrilled to finally see the sea turtles I’d been hoping to see. However, the sun got a little stronger toward the end of the tour, so as a woman, it would have been perfect if there had been a specific time set aside to reapply sunscreen.
