Facility Overview
Upuissa is a one-house guest house located in Sunagawa, Jobe, Miyakojima City. In the Miyakojima dialect, "Upu" means big and "Issa" means doctor. The owner's grandfather was a big-bodied man who worked like a doctor, hence the name of the inn. The rooms are Japanese-style and Western-style, with a living room and kitchen, plus a bathroom and toilet. Upon entering the inn, you will feel as if you have come home. It is located 15 pints by car from Miyako Airport, and since it is on the south side of Miyako Island, the ocean is close by, and there is a famous historical site on the south side of Ingeya village. The inn can accommodate up to 8 people, and is popular among divers because they can enjoy their stay without worrying about other guests if they visit with their friends.
