Facility Overview
The Umino Inn Pension Takaragai is a lodging facility located on a hill near Painagama Beach in western Miyakojima. [Takaragai] is the name of a shellfish. It is conveniently located 10 minutes by car from Miyakojima Airport. Rooms are available in Japanese and Western style, and there is also a coin-operated laundry. Inside the inn, many shells from Miyako Island are on display, which is interesting. Dinner is served with fish caught directly by the pension's owner and local dishes of Miyako Island. It is also nice to be able to try playing the sanshin, a traditional Okinawan musical instrument, for free. Other services such as life jacket rental and bicycle rental are also free of charge. Morning coffee is also available in the morning. You will be charmed by the at-home atmosphere with a touch of Showa-era charm.
